WHY CEG

Hello and welcome to CEG Dealer School. My name is Alex Kim and I am the owner. Thank you for taking the time to visit the school website and read this letter. The most popular question that I get asked is, “Why did you open a dealer school Alex?”

For my birthday in 2007, my mother signed me up for blackjack and craps classes’ at a popular school in Las Vegas so that I could be a table games dealer. I ended up struggling in class because there was 30+ students for one teacher, and I never got enough personalized attention. The students and I had to figure it out for themselves, and we picked up each other’s bad habits in the process. In the end, I got lucky with persistence and constant practice, but for most of my classmates, they either dropped out or ended up getting a job at a very small casino and never moved up.

In February of 2014, I decided that I could do better than these schools. My vision was to open a school that finally gave students the personalized attention that is needed to learn these table games. Since our opening, we have graduated 101 students in 235 games.

My mission is to teach you the right way the first time so you can move up in the casino business faster. Many of my students are already working on the Strip because of the techniques and procedures that I’ve taught them. When you become a student at CEG, I will promise you the following things:

• No set class times so you can come in anytime within school hours and start practicing.

• Low student/teacher ratio
• Friendly, productive classroom environment
• Emphasis on procedure and proper technique at all times
• Teaching you various techniques that they use in both local casinos and on Strip properties to give you flexibility and a better understanding

Our reputation is dependent on word of mouth. You will have the best learning experience possible and I know that in return you will tell your friends and family about us. I want to make sure Nevadans have a better way of life and the best possible chance to move up in the casino business.
